Biennale Arte 2026: Venice opens with “In Minor Keys”

From 9 May to 22 November 2026 Venice hosts the 61st International Art Exhibition of the Biennale. Titled In Minor Keys and curated by Koyo Kouoh, the show occupies the traditional Biennale sites — the Giardini and the Arsenale — alongside a series of dispersed city projects.

This edition emphasizes a listening approach to contemporary art, giving space to quieter, less represented voices and focusing on themes such as memory, identity, migration and social change through more intimate and reflective registers.
