The Archaeological Park of Herculaneum will attend Didacta Italia with "Adventure in Herculaneum", a digital guide designed to lead children and young people through the ancient city using augmented reality, games and immersive activities. The tool is developed with a focus on accessibility, supporting visits by students with autism spectrum conditions and cognitive difficulties.
The project will be presented during the national fair dedicated to innovation and training in education. The session targets teachers, educators and cultural operators interested in tools that combine heritage, technology and inclusive practices.
"Adventure in Herculaneum" gives schools a practical tool to use archaeological heritage for educational purposes: it makes visits more engaging, supports inclusion of students with special educational needs and provides activities that can be integrated into teaching plans.
The Park and its project partners continue to develop community-oriented initiatives to make cultural heritage a driver of wellbeing and social development.
