From 10 May to 6 September 2026 the Civic Archaeological Museum in Angera hosts "L'Archivio Angera", an exhibition that documents forty years of research on the Roman vicus and the Lower Verbano territory, showcasing original materials and the operational methods of archaeological fieldwork.
The exhibition is curated by Prof. Emanuele E. Intagliata and Anna Bernardoni, with contributions from researchers and students who took part in the campaigns between 1975 and 1986. The scientific archive on display is currently undergoing recovery and digitization to improve accessibility.
The opening is scheduled for Sunday, 10 May 2026 at 16:00. Curators will present the exhibition project and there will be talks by scholars and representatives of local historical organizations. A guided tour led by the curators with support from archaeology students of the University of Milan will follow.
