The Civic Museum housed in Castello di Adelaide in Susa has opened its 2026 exhibition season with “The Savoys. A Thousand Years of History and Power”. The show presents a curated selection from the Savoie.live collection, including archival documents, historic maps, portraits, seals and objects that trace the Savoy dynasty's long history.
The exhibition is curated by the castle director, Stefano Paschero, together with Claude Duffour, president of Savoie.live. The opening featured local authorities and cultural associations, along with readings and historical reenactment characters that emphasized the ties between the city and the Savoy family.
This exhibition is a valuable opportunity to see rarely displayed items related to the Savoy dynasty and to deepen knowledge of the region’s historical sources. Visitors are encouraged to book in advance on busy weekends.
The museum also welcomes personal memories and stories connected to the Savoys and the local history, to help build a richer communal narrative.
