Acquazzurra Park, the water park you’ve always dreamed of in Basilicata

Autore: Redazione 01/08/2025 13:47

Pure aquatic fun awaits at Acquazzurra Park in Basilicata — an 80,000-square-meter park, 45,000 of which are entirely dedicated to attractions and relaxation — designed to satisfy every visitor. With over 1,300 meters of slides reaching up to 30 meters in height, tropical palms, and an authentic galleon, Acquazzurra is the true paradise of the Lucanian summer.

Acquazzurra offers 18 water attractions: relaxing ones for those seeking hydromassage and gentler water play; exciting ones for adults and teens looking for thrills; and adrenaline-pumping ones for the most daring who aren’t afraid to challenge gravity.

Among the most popular attractions are the Skyfall — the tallest slide in Southern Italy at 30 meters — the Twister, the 2025 novelty, and high-speed favorites such as Roller Coaster, Super Kamikaze, Super Toboga, and Inverter.

For the whole family: Serf Foam, Foam Multipista, Toboga, Kamikaze.

For the little ones: Pirates’ Lagoon, Happy Mushroom, Trumpet Fly, Flipping Fish, and Water Dance.

But that’s not all: at the center of the park stands a real 1972 sailing ship, transformed into a water play area with 4 slides designed for children up to 10 years old.

Dreamlike relaxation in Palm Beach style

Those looking to unwind will find their own paradise in the Palm Beach Area. Towering palm trees, professional sunbeds, umbrellas, and an 800 m² lagoon with crystal-clear water and hydromassage recreate the atmosphere of a Caribbean island.

In the main pool, in front of the impressive Greek temple, visitors can enjoy the show of dancing fountains and hydromassage tubs.

The park is fully themed: you’ll stroll through the Kingdoms of Zeus and Apollo, surrounded by statues, decorations, and colors evoking the classic world of Magna Graecia.

All-inclusive: services, entertainment, and events

Acquazzurra is designed to make every day carefree and complete:

  • Free parking for over 1,000 cars
  • Bar, self-service restaurant, crêperie, ice cream shop, bazaar, and barbecue area
  • 500 m² picnic area and rubber-ring rental service
  • Safety deposit boxes, hot showers, and first aid
What makes the experience unique is the non-stop entertainment: children’s games, aquagym, zumba, Latin dancing, karaoke, and foam parties.
In August, there are also special events such as Miss Acquazzurra, Table Football Tournament, Corrida, Ciao Darwin, and the Seven Ropes Tournament.

Opening hours

The park is open during the summer season — from June to September — from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday, while on Sunday it opens earlier, at 9:00 a.m.

Afternoon entry starts at 2:00 p.m., and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. attractions close for lunch break.
