1000 Miglia Experience 2026: Puglia takes the spotlight with motors, heritage and landscape

From 9 to 12 April 2026 the 1000 Miglia Experience will be held entirely in Puglia for the first time, turning the region into a stage for historic and modern cars. The edition features a route of more than 630 km that blends sporting stages with cultural and experiential visits.

The format balances competition with Experiences: guided visits, stops in towns and cultural briefings that highlight local architecture, food production and coastal scenery, offering a richer narrative than a typical motor race.

• Dates: 9–12 April 2026
• Route: from Bari to Taranto, with notable stops in Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Ostuni, Brindisi, Lecce, Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca and Gallipoli
• Sporting format: about 65 timed stages and 6 average speed tests across three days
• Experiential highlights: visit to Grottaglie’s ceramics district, cultural pauses and local food tastings

A standout moment will be the procession through the trulli of Alberobello, a UNESCO site, which juxtaposes architectural heritage and automotive tradition, generating striking imagery and tourism opportunities.

Organisers and local authorities are emphasizing this blend of motor heritage and territorial promotion to attract national and international visitors, strengthening Puglia’s image as a land of history, art and gastronomy.
