Now in its third year, Cremona Contemporanea Art Week 2026 returns to Cremona. This event, dedicated to contemporary visual arts, will transform the city’s historic centre into a vast open-air art studio from 18 to 26 May 2026. With exhibitions, installations, performances and talks, the event confirms its status as one of the most interesting cultural events on the Lombardy and national scene.
Are you ready to discover it with us?
Launched in 2023 thanks to the organisation of NOT Titled YET and the artistic direction of Rossella Farinotti, the event was conceived with the aim of creating a dialogue between international contemporary art and the historical and architectural heritage of the city of Cremona. Since its very first edition, the project has involved artists, curators and urban spaces, transforming historic buildings, courtyards, monasteries and hidden spots into unique exhibition settings. Over the years, Cremona Contemporanea has grown rapidly, becoming a benchmark for contemporary artistic experimentation and attracting an ever-wider audience of enthusiasts, collectors and industry professionals. The event, promoted by the Department of Tourism and Events of the Municipality of Cremona under the patronage of the Lombardy Region and the Cremona-Mantua-Pavia Chamber of Commerce, continues today to expand its network of collaborations and the number. For nine days, the entire city will host a widespread exhibition programme that will bring together art, architecture and urban heritage through site-specific works, immersive installations, talks and performances. Once again, this edition will feature around twenty artists from different generations and artistic backgrounds, invited to engage with some of the city’s most evocative locations. Among the main new features of the 2026 edition, Rossella Farinotti’s artistic direction will be supported by several curators, including Ettore Favino and Stefano Pirovano, with the aim of creating a collective narrative capable of weaving together different perspectives and sensibilities.

In addition to the venues that have become synonymous with the event – such as the Town Hall, RobolottiSei, Palazzo Fodri, Fasarchitetti and Palazzo Raimondi – the public will also have access to new spaces that are normally closed or little known, including bunkers, abandoned monasteries, hidden theatres and previously unseen sacred sites. A unique opportunity to rediscover Cremona through the lens of contemporary art. Alongside the main programme, the ‘Faville’ projects will also return: a series of parallel events dedicated to independent exhibitions, participatory installations, art publishing and interdisciplinary experiments designed to actively engage the public.
