A photographic project that connects gender violence and breast cancer, highlighting personal stories of pain and rebirth. Produced by Donatella Gimigliano, the exhibition displays 21 large-format portraits by Tiziana Luxardo that give voice to real experiences of strength and recovery.
Launched at Villa del Gattopardo, the exhibition is on view at Palazzo Cefalà and is open to the public until 10 April 2026. Admission is free.
The photographs embrace wounds rather than hiding them, using symbolic references to the Japanese art of kintsugi to express transformation and healing. Each work features a QR code that allows visitors to listen to the subject's personal testimony, fostering a direct and intimate encounter.
The exhibition targets a broad audience, with special attention to younger generations as agents of cultural change. Direct testimonies and contributions from awarded ambassadors reinforce the goals of awareness and solidarity, encouraging empathy and social responsibility.
It is a chance to engage with moving visual narratives and to translate emotional impact into concrete actions for support and prevention in the local community.
Visiting this exhibition offers more than visual experience: it provides direct access to personal stories that encourage civic engagement and protection of women's dignity.
