Civic Museums of Parma: guided introductions, children's workshops and exhibitions
On the weekend of Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026, Parma's Civic Museums present introductory tours at the Pinacoteca Stuard, a creative workshop for children and normal openings across the civic sites. Activities are organised by museum staff and promoted by the Municipality's Culture and Tourism department.

Pinacoteca Stuard – Saturday 28 March
- 11:00 - Museum introduction: overview of the collection of Giuseppe Stuard, the Congregation of San Filippo Neri and the municipal artistic heritage. Entrance requires a ticket; no reservation is necessary.
- 15:30 - Children's workshop (ages 5-10) “Angels”: guided observation of depictions of angels followed by a hands-on activity in the educational room. Maximum 10 participants; reservation required at tel. +39 0521 218420. Free entry for children and their accompanying adults.

Pinacoteca Stuard – Sunday 29 March
- 11:00 - Repeat of the museum introduction, followed by a free visit of the collection. Ticket required; reservations not mandatory.

Admission to the Civic Museums requires a ticket, available at the indicated ticket offices. Residents of Parma are entitled to free entry but must still collect a free ticket at the ticket desk.

Steve McCurry – Distant Horizons (Palazzo Pigorini) – on display until Sunday 12 April: a selection of photographs made over four decades, featuring images from Southeast Asia, China, South America and beyond. Bernardo Bertolucci – Il Novecento (Palazzo del Governatore) – open from 27 March: an exhibition linking cinema, photography, music and literature to mark the anniversary of the film “Novecento”. Opening hours: Wed–Sun 10:00–19:00 (last entry 18:00). Tickets: open €14; full €12; reduced €10; conventions €8. Some categories may enter free of charge.
Note: a restored full screening of “Novecento” will be shown at the Teatro Regio on 27 March at 17:00 — free entry until seats are exhausted.

- If you qualify for resident free entry, bring ID to obtain the free ticket at the box office.
