The Museum of Casale Monferrato offers two guided tours to examine how the figure of the hero is portrayed in Italian art from the immediate post-unification period through the early postwar years. The tours provide historical context and the opportunity to view drawings, reliefs and sculptures that are rarely on display.
The exhibition traces the development of heroic imagery, focusing on rhetorical style and classical references. The display includes drawings, plaster sculptures, reliefs and restored works—some previously unseen—sourced from donations and loans.
