The Civic Museum in Casale Monferrato is hosting special guided tours of the exhibition “Qui si fa l’Italia. The image of the hero from Bistolfi to Baroni” on Saturday 25 April 2026 and Friday 1 May 2026, both starting at 4:00 PM.
The exhibition examines artistic developments from the early years of unified Italy through the immediate post–World War I period, highlighting a shift toward more rhetorical tones and classical references. Featured artists include Bistolfi, Eugenio Baroni, Gaetano Previati, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Plinio Nomellini, Libero Andreotti and Eliseo Sala.
The presentation includes works from the “Martelli-Bistolfi 2021/2023” donation, some newly restored and shown to the public for the first time. These tours provide context for the masterpieces on display and explore their iconography and historical background.
Visitors are advised to arrive a few minutes early to facilitate entry and seating.
