On Saturday 9 May 2026 the Rudiae Archaeological Park, located a few kilometres from Lecce, will offer a guided tour designed to improve accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors through live LIS (Italian Sign Language) interpretation.
The route traces Rudiae's long history — from its Messapian origins to the Roman period — and includes virtual reconstructions that illustrate the site's development over time, including the Roman amphitheatre dating to the reign of Trajan and the 1st century AD.
The event is part of the project "Rudiae, the city of Ennius", linked to the SMART-IN initiative for enhancing Puglia's archaeological heritage. The visit combines archaeology, on-site education and accessibility to create an inclusive experience.
Reservation by phone is mandatory; please be punctual to ensure the tour starts on time.
