On April 10, 2026 PROSA_contemporanea opens Intangible Metamorphosis, a solo exhibition by Uemon Ikeda curated by Alberto Dambruoso. The inauguration starts at 6:30 PM, followed at 7:30 PM by a Butoh dance performance by Flavio Arcangeli that interacts with the installation.
The project combines an environmental installation, created in collaboration with artist Ximena Robles, with a series of watercolour works on paper. A red thread made of wool and silk runs through the gallery and invites visitor engagement, reshaping the perception of the site and establishing connections between interior and exterior, seen and unseen.
Ikeda's work here continues a long-term exploration across painting, installation and writing, navigating between figuration and abstraction. The red thread functions as a spatial instrument: the installation reconfigures the gallery into a realm of passage and connection, prompting visitors to imagine an immaterial transformation of the space.
This exhibition is recommended for audiences interested in contemporary art practices that combine installation, performative gesture and painting. Contact the venue for opening hours and guided visit information.
