MAXXI Rome 2026: hours, tickets and practical information

The MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts, located at Via Guido Reni 4a in the Flaminio district, is a key destination for contemporary art in Rome. Below are updated opening times, ticket prices for 2026, concessions, membership details and how to reach the museum.

Opening hours and ticket office

  • Open: Tuesday–Sunday
  • Hours: 11:00–19:00
  • Closed: Monday
  • Ticket office: closes one hour before the museum (18:00)

Main fares (2026)

  • Full price: €15 at the ticket office / €14 online
  • Reduced: €12 at the ticket office / €11 online
  • Open ticket: €18, valid for one year from purchase (access to exhibitions)
  • When only part of the museum is open, a special reduced ticket for the available areas may be offered.

Concessions and free entry

  • Free entry: under-18s; holders of myMAXXI cards according to card type; visitors on their birthday (ID required); people with disabilities and one accompanying person with appropriate documentation.
  • Reduced fares: young people aged 18–25 (not yet 26), large groups and holders of specific partner cards and conventions.
  • MAXXI takes part in the first Sunday of the month national initiative for state museums (free entry). It is not included in any municipal resident-free schemes; please verify any local exemptions before arriving.

myMAXXI annual membership

The myMAXXI card grants unlimited access to exhibitions, priority booking and exclusive benefits. Indicative prices (subject to change):

  • myMAXXI young (under 26): around €25
  • myMAXXI individual: around €50
  • myMAXXI family&friends (for two people): around €90

  • Audio guides in Italian and English are usually available at the ticket office (approx. €3).
