Composer and pianist Dardust unveils SommersiVo, a sound installation hosted in the Padiglione Venezia during the 61st International Art Exhibition (May 9 - November 22, 2026). The work proposes a fresh interpretation of the city through sound as living material that reshapes the visitor's experience.
The installation creates an immersive setting where an autonomous piano and a reactive audio system generate continuously evolving musical textures. The core of the project relies on artificial intelligence algorithms that process real-time urban sounds, environmental data and audience presence, ensuring each performance is singular.
The presentation features eight scheduled performances daily, occurring at the top of the hour throughout the Biennale. To fully appreciate the piece, arrive a few minutes early to secure a spot and experience how the acoustic environment transforms.
SommersiVo offers a contemporary perspective on Venice by translating memory and urban layers into a generative sonic language. The project will appeal to audiences interested in intersections of music, technology and site-specific installation art.
SEO note: the work sits at the crossroads of immersive installations and generative sound research, highlighting AI applications in contemporary art.
