Museum week in Rome (10–16 April 2026)
From 10 to 16 April, Rome's civic museums offer a dense program of special openings, guided tours and activities reserved for Roma MIC Card holders. The week features a new installation-based show by Adrian Tranquilli at Palazzo Braschi and the final free guided tours of the exhibition on Greek art in Rome at the Capitoline Museums.
Highlights
- 11 April – Opening of "It's Happening Again" by Adrian Tranquilli at the Museo di Roma in Palazzo Braschi, featuring installations focused on the Joker (on view until 24 May 2026).
- 12 April – Last day of free guided tours for "Greece in Rome" at the Capitoline Museums (Italian and English sessions available; limited places).
- Special MIC Card programs, including guided visits to Trajan's Markets, Centrale Montemartini and other civic sites.

- Tours of the Casa Museo Alberto Moravia (morning slots, limited capacity).
- Special opening of Porta del Popolo with a LIS interpreter and access to the panoramic terrace.
- Guided walk on Monte Testaccio as part of the municipal archaeology series (limited participants).

- Final free guided tours of "Greece in Rome" at the Capitoline Museums (booking required, limited seats).
Week highlights and visits
The program also includes visits to Porta San Sebastiano and the Museum of the Walls, an inspection of the excavation area at the Roman Forums with LIS support, guided tours of the Boiler Room at Centrale Montemartini, and talks at the Museum of Zoology and the Museo di Roma in Trastevere.
