In the village of Trevinano an Itinerary of public art is being developed to create a direct relationship between contemporary artistic practices and the historical fabric of the site. Curated by Davide Sarchioni, the intervention — launched in 2023 — foresees nine permanent site‑specific installations and is part of the Trevinano Ri‑Wind initiative funded by the PNRR.
The project is still in progress, but the first three works by Valentina Palazzari, Flavio Favelli and the duo Antonello‑Ghezzi (Nadia Antonello and Paolo Ghezzi) have already been revealed. Each piece is conceived to interact with the genius loci and the historical and scenic qualities of the village.
Highlighted interventions include:
The initiative follows a participatory methodology: each work is preceded by site surveys, dialogues with residents and consultations with the heritage authorities to ensure respectful intervention in historically significant settings. The aim is to create lasting artworks that accumulate memory and contemporary languages while engaging the local community and urban context.
The complete itinerary will be realized with the remaining installations and an official inauguration is planned for June. Meanwhile, the already installed works provide an initial reading of the project and a new way to experience the village.
Practical tip: prospective visitors should check local updates to identify the locations of each work and to learn about events linked to the inauguration.
