"Terra Fragile" by Carla Viparelli at Galleria Port’Alba

Galleria Port’Alba in Naples presents "Terra Fragile", a solo exhibition by Carla Viparelli curated by Federica Di Lorenzo. The show offers a contemplative sequence of works that explore how people relate to the landscape, using reclaimed materials, layers and traces as devices of memory and reflection.

Opening (vernissage): Thursday, 28 May 2026, 6:30 PM

Exhibition period: 28 May – 1 October 2026

  • Venue: Galleria Port’Alba, Via Port’Alba 30, Naples
  • Curator: Federica Di Lorenzo
  • Hours & entry: please contact the gallery for confirmed opening times and visiting arrangements

Why go: the installation-like arrangement turns the gallery into a space for questioning aesthetic value and environmental responsibility. The works require slow viewing: wooden textures, marks and fragments actively contribute to the visual narrative and invite ethical and aesthetic contemplation.

Work and language: the exhibition features triptychs and panel paintings that reference sacred, philosophical and natural themes. Viparelli often uses reclaimed wood and mixed supports, making the physical substrate an integral component of the visual statement.

About the artist: born in Naples in 1959, Carla Viparelli lives and works between Naples and Maratea. Active since the 1980s, her practice intersects material investigation, philosophy and visual language; she has taken part in national and international exhibitions.

Practical info and updates: for guided visits, side events or schedule changes, check the gallery's official website or social channels.
