Strolling through the alleys of Oristano’s historic center, a city that preserves a long medieval tradition and a lively soul, it’s easy to be guided by the scent of freshly baked bread and the warm colors of the squares. Right here, on Via Pietro Riccio, lies a venue that has transformed the simple moment of aperitivo into a refined experience: Temple Wine Bar.
From the very first glance, the balance between modernity and warmth stands out. The interior spaces are divided into two intimate rooms, ideal for those who enjoy a quiet tasting, while the covered and heated outdoor terrace—with as many as 80 seats—offers comfort in every season, becoming a perfect meeting point for couples, groups of friends, or families with children (a convenient changing table is also available).
The true soul of Temple is, of course, wine. The extensive wine list is a journey through Sardinian, national, and international labels, the result of careful research that rewards quality and character. Every glass tells a story, and the owners are always ready to recommend the ideal pairing, whether it’s a full-bodied Cannonau or an elegant Pinot Noir.
To accompany the toast, every aperitivo comes with a complimentary platter of Sardinian cured meats and cheeses, many of which are also available in gluten-free versions: a gesture of hospitality that makes the stop even more enjoyable. At lunchtime, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and for the evening aperitivo, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Temple Wine Bar becomes a reference point for those seeking authentic flavors and attentive service.
But it’s not just a place for wine. In the morning, the café offers the unmistakable aroma of Milani coffee and a selection of fresh pastries, ideal for starting the day in the best way. For those who want something more substantial, there are also snacks and freshly prepared sandwiches. Spirit lovers, on the other hand, can choose from a wide selection of rum and whisky, always accompanied by Domori chocolates: a pairing designed for the most curious palates, which earned the venue a place among Italy’s “RhumBars” in 2018–2019.
On Wednesday evenings, Temple comes alive with Live Music from 8:00 p.m., creating a convivial atmosphere that combines melody and fine drinking—perfect for ending the day with a touch of elegance.
An insider’s tip? Try the mixed platter with a glass of Vernaccia di Oristano, the symbolic wine of the local tradition: a pairing that tells the story of the most authentic Sardinia in every sip.
