The Korean Cultural Institute in Italy presents Still/ Moving: Korean Contemporary Video Art Works based on Performances, an exhibition that brings recent Korean video and performance art to Italian audiences. Open from 9 April to 5 June 2026, the show highlights practices that rethink the body, memory and labor in contemporary life.
The exhibition is organized across two main levels of the institute:
The works address themes such as sound reconstruction, perceptual shifts of space, information spread, cycles of repetition and preparation, invisible labor and questions of identity. Through video-performance, the artists make visible the subtle movements and relations of everyday life, prompting critical reflection on contemporary social structures.
The exhibition is part of the Touring K-Arts programme, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE). Marking the tenth anniversary of the Korean Cultural Institute in Italy, the initiative aims to deepen cultural exchange and showcase the dynamism of contemporary Korean art to local audiences.
Practical info: the show foregrounds sensory engagement and the interaction between artwork and urban space; visitors are advised to check the institute's opening hours before planning their visit.
