Banca Generali enriches its BG ArTalent collection with two recent paintings timed to Milano Art Week 2026. The initiative offers the public free access (with reservation) to the BG Art Gallery located in the historic Palazzo Pusterla, promoting young contemporary practices.
The BG ArTalent program, launched in 2018, aims to support contemporary Italian art through targeted acquisitions that reflect current research. This year the focus is on younger generations who are reworking painting's language:
Jem Perucchini blends mythic and cultural references to create works that question inherited narratives. In "What For? (Zagreo)" a young figure, portrayed in a suspended space, prompts reflection on identity and historical imagery.
Valerio Nicolai moves between figuration and abstraction, layering images and autobiographical fragments. In "Cotone reverso" a simple depiction of cotton becomes a sky-like presence, flipping the domestic into a destabilised landscape where reality and imagination meet.
Alongside the Piazza Sant'Alessandro exhibition, Banca Generali will host public talks and guided visits across partner venues in Milan. The initiative underlines the institution's commitment to fostering cultural dialogue, supporting artists and connecting creativity with collecting.
Practical note: free entry with reservation. Book via [email protected] or the BG Art Gallery website for visit slots.
