From 27 March to 27 September 2026 the Casina delle Civette dependency – Musei di Villa Torlonia hosts “Under a Lucky Star. The Emblem of the Italian Republic in the Papers of Paolo Paschetto.” The exhibition traces the development of the national symbol through original sketches, archival records and materials related to Paschetto’s work.
The show explains the meaning behind the emblem’s graphic elements: the star as a national identifier, the gear wheel symbolizing labor and constitutional values, and the olive and oak branches representing peace and strength. The layout addresses both artistic and civic perspectives on the national symbol.
Recommended for those interested in art history, graphic design and national symbolism. Use the multimedia stations to follow the competition stages and Paschetto’s design choices. Schools and groups should contact the museum services for educational offerings and guided options.
