'SinerGIA' in Ferrara: national conference on Italian agri-food excellence

On Saturday 11 April 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00, the Sala della Musica (via Boccaleone 19, Ferrara) will host "SinerGIA. Meetings of Excellence in Ferrara", a national conference promoted by the G.I.A. – Gruppo Italiano Assaggiatori with the support of the Municipality of Ferrara. Admission is free.

The event brings together scientific, technical and sensory expertise to explore the relationship between territory, quality and the future of Italian agri-food productions.

• Paola Tedeschi (University of Ferrara) – "Oro di Voghiera PDO: white and black garlic"
• Filippo Venturi (chef and pizzaiolo) – "The taste of life experience: ferments, land and water"
• Vadis Paesanti (President, FEDERAGRIPESCA) – "The excellence of the Goro Oyster: 100% Made in Italy"
• Andrea Farinelli (CIV) – "Genetic innovation and territorial identity"
• Sara Comastri (sommelier) – "The Wines of the Sands: resistance and resilience"

In the afternoon G.I.A. member associations will run pairing workshops open only to members; a display of Ferrarese breads, organised by I.N.A.P. and Confesercenti, will be set up in the Sala della Musica. The meeting aims to promote local territories and recognized PDO/PGI products by engaging professionals, institutions and citizens.
