Turin Book Fair 2026: Friuli Venezia Giulia on stage

From 14 to 17 May 2026, Friuli Venezia Giulia will be present at the 28th Turin International Book Fair with 32 events and over 70 authors representing literature, non-fiction, poetry, arts and journalism. The regional pavilion at Lingotto will highlight the identity of a borderland through diverse cultural languages.

The participation is part of the Capitali initiative, promoted by the regional Department of Culture, which links key moments such as GO! 2025 with the upcoming Pordenone Italian Capital of Culture. The program aims to present the region as an open cultural laboratory that combines transborder innovation with attention to young generations.

Authors and figures taking part include:

  • Patrizia Valduga
  • Valerio Magrelli
  • Carlo Ossola
  • Davide Rondoni
  • Mauro Covacich
  • Toni Capuozzo
  • Greta Sclaunich
  • Giuseppe Lupo
  • Gian Mario Villalta
  • Davide Toffolo
  • Luigi Nacci
  • Azam Bahrami
  • Annarita Briganti
  • Alberto Pellegatta
  • Elena Commessatti
  • Walter Tomada
  • Elisabetta de Dominis

One of the highlights is the presentation, in collaboration with the Air Force, of Claudio Sciarrone's graphic novel Mi fai volare, set during a Frecce Tricolori display. The regional stand brings together tourism promoters, publishers' associations, writers' associations, foundations and creative labs.

The Friuli Venezia Giulia's presence at the fair underlines the region's strategy to promote culture as an engine for development and as a transnational dialogue platform that enhances diverse identities and creative opportunities.
