Rocca San Giovanni joins the interregional Board for Abruzzo‑Molise

Rocca San Giovanni has gained a significant role within the interregional Board of the association The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy for Abruzzo and Molise. This appointment strengthens the village's position in promoting its historical, cultural and landscape heritage.

Appointed representatives and responsibilities:

  • Fabio Caravaggio (mayor) was elected to the interregional Board with institutional and coordination duties;
  • Erminio Verì (deputy mayor) was named to the Legislative Committee, tasked with drafting regulatory proposals and guidelines for village management and protection;
  • Carmelita Caravaggio (culture councillor) will be responsible for organizing the Club's events scheduled in Rocca San Giovanni.

The new representation complements other recognitions already achieved by the area, such as membership in the “Wine Towns of Abruzzo” network, fostering synergies that benefit local businesses and tourism promotion.

Board priorities:

  • promote villages as cultural and tourist destinations;
  • protect historical, architectural and natural heritage;
  • develop joint projects among local authorities, institutions and associations.

The body was recently presented in Pescara and brings together officials from various municipalities across Abruzzo and Molise, including Oratino, Casoli, Scanno, Pettorano sul Gizio, Sepino, Navelli, Anversa degli Abruzzi and Civitella del Tronto.

According to the mayor, joining the Board is a concrete opportunity to shape shared strategies for improving urban quality, tourism offer and hospitality, through targeted regulations and local initiatives.

For visitors and local communities: this participation can lead to more structured cultural events, enhanced tourist routes and increased resources for redevelopment projects. For information on upcoming events or initiatives, follow the official municipal communications.
