On 9 and 10 May 2026 Ripe San Ginesio presented a pilot model of territorial promotion called artiturismo. Led by the Region with support from Confartigianato and the Municipality, the initiative aims to turn traditional workshops into cultural reception points for visitors and residents.
The scheme promotes local craftsmanship not only as production but as intangible heritage able to attract sustainable tourism and support the regeneration of historic centres, especially in inland areas and municipalities affected by earthquakes.
The artiturismo model seeks to establish a replicable hospitality network that enhances local skills, stimulates the economy and encourages visitors to return to historic centres. By linking craft, culture and hospitality, workshops become immersive experiences rather than mere shops.
Dates: 9-10 May 2026 (official launch on 9 May).
Location: Ripe San Ginesio (MC) — 62020. To join workshops, contact the Municipality or local associations in advance as some activities may require reservations.
The pilot is designed to be replicated in other villages interested in leveraging craftsmanship as a driver for cultural tourism and territorial regeneration.
Location: 62020 Ripe San Ginesio MC, Italia
