Opening: Saturday, April 18 at 17:00 at the Sala of Castello Episcopio in Grottaglie (TA). The exhibition is on view from April 18 to May 3.
Visiting hours: 10:00–13:00 and 16:00–18:00. Closed on Mondays.
Presented in partnership with Ki.Fra Comunicazioni & Eventi and under the patronage of the Municipality of Grottaglie, the exhibition features thirty works that investigate ties between land, memory and inner life.
The opening will host Immacolata Zabatti and institutional speakers including local authorities and cultural representatives. The programme includes contributions from critics, cultural associations and poets who will present readings inspired by the works. A local journalist will moderate the evening.
The closing event on Sunday, May 3 will feature a lecture bridging art and philosophy and poetry readings.
Immacolata Zabatti lives and works in Grottaglie (Taranto). After an early phase focused on landscapes, since 2011 she has concentrated on depicting Salento’s ancient olive trees, developing a distinctive approach that moves between figuration and abstraction. Her practice includes painting, graphic work and painted ceramics; she has exhibited nationally and internationally and her works are in public and private collections.
