Próthesis: Dafne Frasca solo exhibition at MICROBA

Opening: Saturday, 16 May 2026, 6:30 PM.

MICROBA in Bari presents Próthesis, a solo exhibition by the young artist Dafne Frasca, winner of the "Green Talent" award and the Popular Jury prize at the 3rd Don Sante Contemporary Art Award. The show features a new cycle of paintings complemented by a sound project that expands visual perception into a multi-sensory experience.

  • Dates: 16 May – 6 June 2026
  • Visiting hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 5:00 PM–8:00 PM
  • Venue: MICROBA, Via Giambattista Bonazzi 46, Bari, Italy
  • Opening: 16 May 2026, 6:30 PM
  • Curators: Maria Grazia Carriero and Nicola Zito
  • Sound design: Laura Aresta
  • Info & contacts: +39 392 738 5558 – [email protected]

The works on display subvert the traditional "window" device: material brushwork and spatula techniques blur edges and produce fragmented visions of a private universe. Frasca combines visual art and acousmatic sound practices to turn intimate memories into a visual and auditory language that invites active, sensory engagement.

Dafne Frasca (Taranto, 1996) is a doctoral candidate at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Lecce. Her practice ranges from painting to sound performance and she has participated in national and international exhibitions and awards. Próthesis marks the beginning of a collaboration between MICROBA and the Fondazione Mons. Sante Montanaro.

Practical note: opening times or access may change due to events; please contact the venue to confirm your visit.
