Spring in Raggiolo: natural workshops and sensory experiences
In the Casentino valley, the village of Raggiolo hosts two free initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable and educational enjoyment of the local environment: a nature-focused afternoon for children and a slow sensory hike for adults.
- When: Saturday 18 April 2026, 15:00 (children's program) and Sunday 26 April 2026, meeting at 14:30 (sensory hike with meditation).
- Where: meeting point in Piazza San Michele, Raggiolo; activities along village lanes and trails leading to the Parco Fluviale della Mercatella.
- Who: children aged 4–10 for the workshop; adults for the sensory walk with meditation and reflexology.
- Organised by: Cooperativa In Quiete, as part of projects funded by PNRR for the Parco Fluviale della Mercatella.
- Program overview:
- 18 April: an educational walk to observe local flora and fauna, a creative workshop to make "seed bombs" and a snack featuring local products provided by the Associazione Produttori Valteggina.
- 26 April: a slow, mindful walk with sensory exercises, moments of silence and naturalistic insights; the session concludes with relaxation techniques, meditation and foot reflexology led by holistic practitioner Honi Monica.

- Practical advice: for the hike a basic level of walking fitness is recommended; wear trekking shoes, comfortable clothing and bring a yoga or exercise mat.
