Pesaro: positive balance after Liberation Day weekend

The Municipality reports strong turnout and a wide-ranging program that enlivened the city during the April 25 long weekend, combining commemoration, culture, sport and food events.

• Ceremonial participation: solemn events at the Monument to the Resistance, Piazzale Collenuccio and other symbolic sites to keep Liberation Day memory alive.
• Cultural offerings: well-attended museums and exhibitions confirmed an engaging local program.
• Shows: notable success for “Notre Dame de Paris” at the Vitrifrigo Arena, which drew about 18,000 spectators over the local run.
• Food and wine events: International Street Food Festival on the seafront and initiatives like “Solo Buon Vino” in Via Cavour animated the city center.
• Sport and community: nearly 300 participants in events such as the Panterissima and Gran Premio delle Colline; the “Città di Pesaro” youth football tournament involved local young players.
• Outdoor initiatives: walks, collective rides and contemporary dance performances turned public spaces into moments of celebration and reflection.

Mayor Andrea Biancani and Deputy Mayor Daniele Vimini highlighted that “seeing so many people and visitors taking part in city events is a sign of a lively community and an increasingly attractive city,” thanking associations and local businesses for their contributions.
