Palio di Cave: revival driven by youth

The "Trattato di Pace" Historical Reenactment Association in Cave has appointed a new board characterized by young members. The stated aim is to strengthen the historical identity of the "Città di Cave" Palio and to develop it into a regional reference event through fresh ideas and renewed organisational energy.

Board composition:

• Councillors: Renzi Giulia, Scarozza Luca, Havaraj Orieta, Scarozza Ilenia, Renzi Alessandro, Scarozza Christian, Scarozza Massimiliano

Massimiliano Scarozza, a central figure in the Palio's recent history, remains on the board to provide continuity and institutional memory, while younger members take on operational responsibilities.

The renewal coincides with the association's 30th anniversary (1557) and seeks to leverage symbolic assets and historic ties, including the twinning with Le Cateau-Cambrésis, to raise the event's visibility and appeal.

Outlook: the new team aims to consolidate past achievements and explore growth opportunities to make the Palio an event that speaks beyond local boundaries, highlighting history, community engagement and spectacle.
