Free Italian courses for migrants launched in Vibo Valentia

The project “Free Italian language courses for migrants” will be inaugurated on April 13 in the municipal council chamber of Mileto. It is promoted by the Tropea Committee of the Società Dante Alighieri in cooperation with the central office in Rome.

• Participants: 40 migrants from North Africa, South America, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
• Course structure: two programs of 40 hours each, combining language instruction, Italian culture and civic education.
• Venue: Casa della Cultura in Mileto, provided by the municipal administration.
• Teachers and coordination: Teresa Pipita, Cinzica Braccio and Valentina Roscioni; project coordinator Sabina Schiavello.
• Objectives: promote inclusion, autonomy in accessing services and active participation in community life through language learning.

The initiative includes educational outings to support participants' social integration. Local institutional representatives, including the mayor and the provincial president, are expected to attend the presentation.
