Sardinia launches Wine Tourism Network: pilot project presented at Vinitaly

Res (Rete enoturismo Sardegna) is a new project funded by the regional Department of Agriculture that brings together wineries and wine producers across the island to create an integrated wine tourism offer. The official presentation will take place on 15 April at the Region's institutional stand during Vinitaly in Verona.

The initiative aims to showcase Sardinia's territorial diversity — from coastal areas to inland landscapes — promoting wine and food experiences, operator training and routes designed to attract visitors outside the summer peak season.

  • Goals: reduce seasonality, create new income opportunities for wine businesses, spread professional skills.
  • Participants: companies concentrated in Gallura (e.g. Il Muto di Gallura, Tenute Filigheddu, Cantina delle vigne di Piero Mancini, Tanca Raina) and producers from Alghero and Sennori.
  • Initial activities: training programs, territorial animation, international study visits (a recent tour to Rioja Alta and a planned visit to Bordeaux).
  • Timeline: the initiative will continue through November with the aim of consolidating the model by 2026.

The Network is designed as a region-wide circuit that highlights local specificities and promotes collaboration among operators, favoring shared growth of wine tourism in Sardinia.
