The Cammino delle Colline Novaresi is born

Unveiled in Verona at Vinitaly, the Cammino delle Colline Novaresi is a new network of trails and rural roads across the Novara area, designed to showcase vineyards, historic villages and cultural sites. The project is promoted by the Piemonte Coordination of the Città del Vino association, with CAI Borgomanero and support from the Fondazione Comunità Novarese.

• Municipalities involved: 26 (16 members of the Città del Vino association).
• Route structure: four main itineraries - Cammino Devozionale (68 km, 3 stages); Via della Sesia (100 km, 5 stages); Via dell’Agogna (109 km, 6 stages); Via della Traversagna (105 km, 5 stages).
• Goals: to combine food and wine, agricultural culture, tourism and sustainable development, encouraging slow travel on foot or by bike.
• Landscape value: the routes cross vineyards, a park, a nature reserve, a biosphere reserve and a UNESCO geopark.

Coordinated by Iole Piscolla, the project stems from a protocol between the National Association of Wine Cities, Federcammini, the National Association of Olive Oil Cities and UNPLI (Pro Loco). Organisers highlight the gentle gradients and inclusive approach, aimed at a broad public interested in gastronomy and cultural heritage.
