The Baldassare Romano Civic Museum, located in the historic centre of Termini Imerese, houses collections spanning from prehistory to the present day. The museum combines archaeology, fine arts and natural history to trace the territory's long cultural evolution.
Established in the late 19th century to safeguard local finds, the museum occupies a historic complex formed over centuries. The oldest nucleus dates back to the 14th century and includes a 15th-century frescoed chapel, a church and rooms adapted for the art gallery and exhibitions.
As part of the Municipal Museums Network of Sicily, the museum plays an important role in showcasing regional heritage. Its collections help narrate the area's past and support collaborative exhibitions and educational projects with other institutions.
