Museums of Parma: schedule for April 25
On the occasion of the 81st Liberation Day, Parma's cultural institutions present a full day of activities: special openings, workshops for children and guided visits to explore the city's collections and historical sites.
Main program
- Pinacoteca Stuard – 11:00: museum presentation with a guide who will illustrate Giuseppe Stuard's collection and the municipal artistic heritage. Entrance with ticket, no reservation required.
- Pinacoteca Stuard – 15:30: creative workshop for children aged 5 to 10 titled "The Wonderful Flowered Gardens", inspired by the pinacoteca’s landscape paintings.
- Castello dei Burattini – Giordano Ferrari Museum – 16:00: puppet show "Bargnocla Cabaret" by the company I Burattini dei Ferrari, a family-friendly performance.
- Extra openings of the Oratories – From 15:00 to 18:00: the Oratory of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Oratory of Sant'Ilario will be open for short free guided visits every 30 minutes, highlighting local history and architecture.
Recommended exhibitions
- Fondazione Magnani Rocca (Mamiano di Traversetolo): the major exhibition "Symbolism in Italy. Origins and developments of a new aesthetic 1883-1915" featuring over 140 works, including pieces by Segantini and Previati.
- Casa del Suono: as part of the PARMA 360 Festival, the "Synthetic Horizons" exhibition explores new geographies of artificial intelligence.
- Pilotta Monumental Complex: regular opening hours from 9:00 to 19:00, with access to the Farnese Theatre and the National Gallery.
