The Mediceo Castle in Melegnano hosts a focused exhibition on Idelbene Lisimberti, an artist whose career spanned more than sixty years between Milan and other Italian cultural centers. The show traces developments in painting from the postwar period to the present, proposing a renewed interpretation of her work.
Born in Trento and long based in Milan, Lisimberti studied under Aldo Carpi and taught at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. The retrospective highlights her formal experiments, exhibitions in Italy and abroad, and her persistent presence in the national art scene.
Curated by Leonardo Savini and promoted by Guido Bassani, the exhibition aims to reassess historical narratives in painting and open perspectives for contemporary appreciation.
