The historic centre of Magliano in Toscana is preparing for a spring makeover with Borgo Fiorito, a competition that rewards care, creativity and the harmony of plant displays created by residents. The initiative aims to enhance the urban heritage and make streets and alleys more welcoming.

Registration period: from April 1 to April 25, 2026.

Who can participate

• Residents who own property in Magliano in Toscana's historic centre;
• One entry per household;
• Displays must be made exclusively with live plants;
• Eligible locations visible from the public way include balconies, windows, sills, terraces and external stairways.

How to register

• Download the registration form from the "News" section of the municipal website;
• Fill in the form and attach up to three photographs of the display (clear shots showing the composition and its context);
• Send the documents by email to: [email protected] before the registration deadline.

Judging criteria and prizes

A dedicated jury will assess entries focusing on:

• Originality of the arrangement;
• Health and vigor of the plant material;
• Compatibility with the architectural context of the village;
• Overall visual impact.

Three final prizes are foreseen in the form of vouchers for plants and gardening supplies, totaling €600, redeemable in local businesses. The award ceremony will take place during the town celebrations between April 30 and May 5, 2026; all participants will receive a certificate of appreciation.
