University of Macerata ranks high for research quality

Preliminary data from ANVUR's 2020-2024 Research Quality Assessment show the University of Macerata (UniMc) achieving notable scores in strategic areas.

• Doctoral research: UniMc records a value of 1.062, higher than universities such as Bologna, Milan and Pisa.
• Knowledge valorization: the university reaches 1.156, surpassing Bologna, Padua, Milan and Turin and aligning with Sapienza University of Rome in translating research into local benefits.
• Overall picture: UniMc improves compared with the previous assessment and stands in line with the national average.

Rector John McCourt highlights the role of a serious and authoritative university able to turn research into concrete opportunities for the Macerata area.

These are preliminary figures published on April 16; ANVUR's final report is expected in the coming weeks.
