Genoa: “Spiker” opens, a new social hub by Spi Cgil

The new neighbourhood centre “Spiker” has opened in Genoa’s historic centre. Promoted by Spi Cgil and housed in the restored Palazzo Cereseto, the project combines a union office with social services and opens to local associations and residents.

The venue is intended as a reference point for citizens, workers, pensioners, families, young people, migrants and those in vulnerable conditions, providing listening, orientation and opportunities for social interaction and participation.

• On-site desks: Caaf and patronage services;
• Network of associations: Auser, Federconsumatori, Sunia, Arci and other local organisations;
• Involved Cgil sectors: commerce, tourism, services, construction and domestic work;
• Additional services: Italian language school, free rooms for meetings and cultural activities.

“Spiker” will host debates, cultural initiatives and activities open to the public, reinforcing its role as a local hub for rights protection and social inclusion.
