Colleferro marks April 25: memory, freedom and participation

The Municipality of Colleferro, together with the local ANPI section, will hold official Liberation Day commemorations on 25 and 26 April 2026. The programme combines institutional moments with cultural and musical events to honour the Resistance and reaffirm the values of freedom and democracy.

Events are aimed at the community, especially younger generations, and will take place over two days:

• Saturday 25 April, 12:00 – Opening of the exhibition Madri Costituenti at the Council Chamber, Corso Garibaldi 22, with the reading “Le Madri Costituenti” and a speech by historian Fiorenza Taricone.
• Saturday 25 April, 15:30 – Wreath laying at the Monument to the Fallen in Time of Peace, Giardini Angelo Vassallo.
• Saturday 25 April, 16:00 – Wreath laying at the Monument to the Fallen in Time of War, Piazza Mazzini.
• Saturday 25 April, 16:30 – Concert by APS Filarmonica Città di Colleferro, Piazza Italia.
• Sunday 26 April, 17:30 – Institutional greetings and address by ANPI Colleferro president Amalia Perfetti, at the Covered Market, via Sobrero 1, with cartoonist Mauro Biani.
• Sunday 26 April, 18:00 – Concert by Gang with the performance “Partigiani una volta partigiani per sempre…”, Covered Market, via Sobrero 1.

The programme is endorsed by Mayor Pierluigi Sanna and ANPI Colleferro president Amalia Perfetti. Taking part in the April 25 events supports collective memory and active civic engagement today.
