Lions Day 2026 in Castellanza: health, solidarity and culture for the community

The annual Lions Day returns to Castellanza with a day dedicated to health prevention, community solidarity and local cultural promotion. Organized by Lions Club Castellanza Malpensa together with Lions Club Gorla Valle Olona and Leo Club LIUC, the event involves local associations and the municipal administration.

Free services and screenings

• Breast cancer screening by LILT (reservation required: 380-8644677).
• Dermatology screening for adults (reservation required: 380-8644677).
• Amblyopia screening for children aged 2–5 (walk-in).
• Diabetes screening open to the public (walk-in; preferably after 4 hours fasting).

Program highlights

• 09:30 – Official opening and ribbon cutting in front of the Town Hall.
• 10:30 – Exhibition and awards ceremony for the international "Poster for Peace" contest.
• 11:00 – Presentation of the walk promoted by Istituto Maria Ausiliatrice.
• 14:45 – Lecture "Notes on ethics at the end of life" by Dr. Pellerin, president of LILT Varese.
• 16:00 – Guided visit to Palazzo Carminati Brambilla (Town Hall).
• 17:30 – Closing remarks and thanks.

The day also features a food collection for the Mensa del Padre Nostro. The initiative seeks to strengthen social cohesion, raise awareness on public health issues and encourage civic engagement in the territory.
