Lines, Loops, Leaks: exploring borders and thresholds

Galleria delle Prigioni — Piazza Duomo 20, Treviso. The gallery hosts a group exhibition promoted by Fondazione Imago Mundi, open until 2 August 2026, that investigates the border as political device, landscape and a space of possibility.

The show brings together 36 works from the Imago Mundi Collection alongside pieces by sixteen international artists, offering a multifaceted view of borders as lines that divide, loops that repeat, and leaks that reconfigure relationships and identities.

  • Three thematic sections: visualization of borders in physical and symbolic terms; socio-economic and cultural consequences of limits; the border as a site of crossing, resistance and redefinition.
  • Featured artists: Matteo Attruia, Filippo Berta, Nicolas Brunetti, Mario Ceroli, Peter Fend, Shilpa Gupta, Reena Saini Kallat, Armin Linke, Eva Marisaldi, Malgorzata Mirga-Tas, Adrien Missika, Ryts Monet, Antoni Muntadas, Paulo Nazareth, Liv Schulman, Riccardo Vicentini.
  • Media and formats: works range from painting to installation, sculpture and video; the Imago Mundi selection includes small-format pieces (10×12 cm) from regions such as Mexico, South Korea, Palestine, Venezuela, Kurdistan, Cyprus, Syria and Italy.

The exhibition also presents theoretical contributions in the form of visual maps that frame the theme within the concept of "borderscape." The intent is to make borders visible and discussable, highlighting their roles in power, exclusion and creative practices.

Visitor information: the show runs until 2 August 2026. For opening hours, ticketing and related events, please check the gallery’s official channels.
