Historic Homes Day in Ala: special openings of historic palaces

Date: Sunday, 24 May. Admission: free with reservation.

As part of the National Historic Homes Day, the town of Ala is offering guided visits to private historic properties to promote local cultural heritage. For one day, visitors will be allowed into selected gardens, courtyards and interior spaces of prominent baroque palaces linked to the town's silk trade history.

Visits are organised in multiple time slots and led by local guides and associations. Tours start from Palazzo Taddei.

  • Palazzo de’ Gresti Filippi
  • Pizzini von Hochenbrunn complexes (home to a museum of historic pianos)
  • Also included: the small church of San Pietro in Bosco
