Lightful is an installation conceived by Kwangho Lee for the exhibition space of the Bottega Veneta boutique on Via Sant'Andrea in Milan. The work engages the proportions and architectural details of a historic interior to create a sensory path that merges craftsmanship and material experimentation.
The project stems from the meeting between traditional manufacturing techniques and contemporary design approaches. The central motif is weaving: a formal principle that connects the artist's language with the maison's artisanal identity, turning functional components into expressive elements.
Production blends atelier craftsmanship with modern design solutions, paying close attention to finishes and the relationship between material and light.
The work is strongly site-specific: the composition is designed to interact with the internal fountain, room proportions and decorative features of the eighteenth-century building. For the installation, the artist collaborated with the boutique team, adapting bespoke pieces to the site's dimensions and constraints.
The installation provides a tactile and visual experience, ideal for those interested in the dialogue between contemporary design and artisanal skill. It shows how different materials — leather, metal, light — can interact within a historic interior.
