As part of the Palazzi Aperti initiative, Palazzo Ciccozzi, an 18th-century landmark in L'Aquila, opens its rooms to display the works of artist Generoso Spagnuolo. The exhibition is included among the cultural events aimed at enhancing the city's monumental heritage and offering visitors curated experiences.
Spagnuolo's works, on view since 29 March, probe the relationship between cosmic mystery and archaeological imagery, adopting a highly personal approach that resists easy classification. Born in Avellino in 1977 and currently based in Grottaminarda, the artist moved from miniature and watercolor techniques toward a more experimental, minimalist expression.
Palazzo Ciccozzi remains an important cultural hub for the city: its reopening for Palazzi Aperti offers a chance to rediscover the monument and see how historic sites can host innovative artistic projects, supporting the cultural revitalization of the area.
