Swiss Ambassador Roberto Balzaretti Visits Modena's Town Hall

On Tuesday 19 May 2026 the Town Hall of Modena welcomed Roberto Balzaretti, the Swiss ambassador to Italy. The informal meeting aimed to promote mutual understanding and dialogue with local stakeholders on institutional, cultural and economic matters.

• Visited sites: the Town Hall's historic rooms and the municipal Acetaia, key symbols of the city's cultural and economic identity.
• Cultural moment: presentation of Modena's "black gold" by Maurizio Fini, Grand Master of the Consorteria dell'Aceto Balsamico.

The visit provided an opportunity to explore potential collaborations and joint initiatives between Switzerland and the Modena area. The ambassador also expressed solidarity with the local community after a recent serious incident in the city.
