University of Milan showcases its archaeological discoveries to the city

The University of Milan brings its fieldwork to the public with a series of lectures where faculty present recent archaeological findings. The programme connects academic research with Milan’s cultural venues and provides direct access to the scholars behind the excavations.

Schedule: events take place in two blocks: March–May and September–November. The opening lecture is scheduled for 12 March (Conference Hall, Palazzo Reale, 5:00 PM).

Venues and format

Talks cover topics from Anatolia to Egypt and the Kurdish plains, as well as Italian sites, and will be hosted in well‑known Milan locations, including:

  • Palazzo Reale
  • Castello Sforzesco (including the Ancient Egypt Gallery)
  • Biblioteca Sormani
  • Museo Civico Archeologico
  • Fondazione Luigi Rovati
  • Museum of Natural History
