The Belle Époque exhibition held at Palazzo Blu on the Lungarni of Pisa achieved notable attendance and public engagement. Curated by Francesca Dini, the show explored the artistic season that contributed to the emergence of modernity, presenting works by prominent Italian and international painters.
The exhibition balanced a high-quality selection of nearly one hundred paintings — with loans from institutions such as the Musée d’Orsay and the Louvre — with an extensive public program that strengthened ties with the local community. The free-entry auditorium talks were consistently sold out, highlighting strong public interest.
Alongside the exhibition, a collaboration with Cinema Arsenale presented the film series "The Time of Wonders: The Belle Époque in Cinema," screening four films set between the late 19th and early 20th centuries to contextualize artistic and cultural developments of the period.
Practical note: Palazzo Blu continues to serve as a cultural hub in Pisa. Check the museum's official channels for updates on events, guided tours and future exhibitions.
