Chinese consul invites Terni residents to visit China

An institutional meeting at Palazzo Spada marked the start of a dialogue between Terni and representatives of the Chinese Consulate General in Italy. Consul General Qi Yin and consular officer Xiao Zhang discussed potential cooperation in cultural, tourism and economic fields.

Deputy mayor Paolo Tagliavento and councilors Gabriele Ghione (Economic Development) and Tiziana Laudadio (Tourism) presented the area's strengths, highlighting local food and slow tourism opportunities.

• Invitation to residents: the Consul mentioned a policy of visa exemption being implemented, encouraging people from Terni to visit China.

The meeting was described by participants as a "first concrete step" toward more structured cooperation. Local authorities plan to pursue participation in international fairs and concrete proposals for businesses and tourism operators.
